My first unemployment payment was received January 11th, 2017. do i need to be concerned with this for my current tax filing.

currently filing for 2016 and my unemployment period started december 20th 2016. i did not recieve my first payment for unemployment until january 11th 2017 though. do i ignore the unemployment situation for my current filing.

No.  It goes on next year's return.
