How long will it take the IRS to receive my copies of both of my 1095-A forms and form 8962 once I mail it in? They didn’t request anything except those in the letter.

you need to fax the 1095 form along with an 8962 form they can be a pain in the rear to fill out, but there are directions on the irs website to fill it out to get the percentages and everything.

it is possible to just fax over the 1095a without yet receiving letter?i called today and this is what they need.they said they sent a 12c letter out and i should receive that on 2/27 it was mailed out on the 13th.someone HELP,i thought i was waiting because of the path act and then i find out this by calling because i didn’t get an update on 2/23 like everyone else who had a tax credit.

You could prob go ahead and fax if you have it prob best to wait to you get the letter so u can know exactly what you need to do and not mess anything it’s already bad we gotta wait extra time.

No its not possible. There is a control/batch number you have to include in your cover letter and specific instructions on how to do it. If you have a letter coming just wait. If you dont know but you recieved a 1095a after you filed it is best to wait either for a refund or the letter. If you get your refund then you will need to file an amended return to avaoid an audit or delay on next years return. Just wait and see what they say.

More than likely if you send it without the control number batch cover letter and addressed to the error correction dept they may not do anything with it. If it was mailed out the 13th then any day. I got my letter a day early, it was dated for the 15th and i got it the 14th. It will be tomorrow or wednesday so it will be worth waiting to get it right. And the 6-8 weeks delay on it is a generic response they give, basically once you get it faxed give it a week to see if they recieved it. Once they tell you its been put back into process it takes anywhere from 7-21 days to go back through the regular processing system.
