Are you saying your return is showing that you owe Federal tax due?

Did you report the $1000 extension payment in your return so that you get credit for it?  If not, we can tell you how.  If you did report it, is it showing up on your Form 1040, Line 70?

If you filed the extension with TurboTax, it's possible the $1000 payment was prepopulated.  But we can tell you how to check and make sure it is showing up on your return.
