I bought 2021 T-Tac DLX (plus 1 state) for Windows from Costco in January 2022. I need to install it on my new computer. I have the email from Costco for the download but the link no longer works (I contacted Costco and the answer I have so far is - Sorry!) I have the 16 digit auth code. When I try to download the file from T-Tax using the auth code it says "Whoops! We hit a snag loading your data. Please try again." As I said - I have the auth code, all I need is the download EXE file. Where can I obtain a copy?

The normal place to get a copy of the download would be from the place where you bought it. You can try calling TurboTax customer service and see if they will help you.
What is the TurboTax phone number?
If you purchased the TurboTax software in January of 2021 then you could have only downloaded the 2020 TurboTax desktop edition.
Unless you deleted or moved the installation file it should still be in the Download directory on the old computer.
Made a mistake - downloaded the file in January of 2022
I searched the old computer - cannot find the 2021 exe download file (I find other years, but not 2021). I must have selected "INSTALL" (not "DOWNLOAD") from the Costco email download link so no EXE copy downloaded to my old computer. So far Costco says I'm out of luck.
I do not understand why Intuit won't provide a copy of the download file when I provide the 16 digit auth code. The download file is useless without an auth code so why won't they provide a copy?
I don't know what TurboTax's reasoning is. My own view is that you didn't buy the product from TurboTax and you didn't get the authorization code from TurboTax. Your issue is with the seller, which is Costco. TurboTax might be willing to help you out, but you are looking for an automated path for the situation, and that path does not exist. As I said earlier, call TurboTax customer service and see if they will help you. But if they are willing to do anything for you, it will be a person to person interaction on the phone, not an automated online solution. They are just not set up to routinely handle issues with third-party sellers.
