If you start a tax return here you are preparing a Form 1040. That is your tax return form. Look at it so you will know what it is and what you are sending to the IRS.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

The 1040 is the form you are filling out by entering your W2 and any 1099 form you receive. When you are done entering your income and info you either efile or print the 1040 to mailed in.
