Is she working for a company as an employee or independent contractor ? https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4243263
If she is an employee and did not receive a W-2, you should still count the received cash as income on your tax return.
After sign in / select Take me to my return /
- From the top, select tab Federal Taxes
- Wages and Income /
- Scroll
down to Less Common Income section.
- Choose Miscellaneous Income
- Select
the very first option at the top"Other
income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099".
- Then follow the prompts.
Otherwise, she is considered as a self employed filing a schedule C.
