My wife receives long term disabilty payments from a private carrier. No SS involved. She paid premiums Payments are 100% income tax free for 2018. Does she have to file
Her checks are tax free. My question, does she even have to file a federal form?
Also, we are filing jointly this year. I'm fully employed.
Thanks for your help!

You simply file a joint tax return and report all your taxable income.
