Hello
You file an individual tax return, Form 1040. You do not file an unemployment tax return. The amounts from your Form 1099G issued to you by the state that issued your unemployment is then reported to the IRS on your individual tax return, Form 1040. You included a picture of Form 1040 page 2. Please include picture of Form 1040 page 1.
Thanks!
@Dessybeauty21 You better delete that 1040 screen shot. It has your bank info showing on it. The whole world can see it. Someone can access your bank account with it! If you post anymore pictures be sure to cover up any personal info like your name, address, ssn etc. This is a public user forum and it in NOT SAFE!
Your unemployment compensation should be on 1040 Schedule 1 line 7. The exclusion will be on Schedule 1 Line 8 as a negative number. The result flows to Form 1040 Line 8.
Hello,
You need to look at the very first post in the thread for the information on confirming your unemployment was included on your amended tax return. It would appear on your 2020 Schedule 1 Line 7. The exclusion would appear on your 2020 Schedule 1 Line 8.
Hope you find this information helpful!
