My taxes are incorrect and I can not get through on your phone service. The irs screwed up my taxes. I need help now.

I made 33,000 last year and didn't get the third stimulus but the it's says I owe them 142 dollars. The taxes I filed with TurboTax, still says they owe me $1255. I need help.

Please provide more information.  The info you provided does not provide enough data to identify what your problem is or how to solve it.  Please be as specific as you can.  Also report what you mean when you say "The IRS screwed up my taxes."  Did you get a letter from the IRS?  If so, what did it say?  Which numbers or calculations did the IRS disagree with?  Why did they disagree?  Do your W-2s and 1099s agree with the IRS numbers?

The difference is around 1400.  

$1,400 is the amount of the 3rd Stimulus payment.  Did you already get the Stimulus payment they sent out last year starting March 2021? The IRS has records that show you were sent the 3rd stimulus payment so they removed the $1,400 Recovery Rebate Credit.

 Do you have 1,400 on 1040 line 30?  You might have tried to claim it again.   Line 30 is only if you didn't get the full amount or qualify for more. 

Did you get IRS letter 6475 saying what they sent you?  If you didn't get the IRS letter 6475 saying what they sent you then check your bank statements and check your IRS account to see when and what they sent you.

If the IRS thinks they sent it to you but you didn't get it request a trace for a missing third Stimulus payment
