Not sure what the precise answer to your question might be, I'm not a software developer or a tax advisor, but TurboTax has an icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen that will toggle between a step-by-step format, and a view of the forms themselves. You might try to check to see if the line is filled in the forms view. My first attempt to import my previous year's tax forms failed, and I had to abandon the forms, the site and the process half-way through. Then I purchased the software on amazon, downloaded it and started over. I couldn't figure out how to re-boot the import process once the program had begun working on my returns.  I don't know what else to tell you.

Please double-check your W-2 input.

You can follow these steps in TurboTax:

  1. Open your tax return.
  2. Search for W-2 with the magnifying glass tool on the top of the page.
  3. Select the Jump to W-2 link at the top of the search results.
  4. Edit your W-2.
  5. Check box 17 to ensure your withholding is correct.
