AGAIN, WILL THE STATE OF MARYLAND ACCEPT THE RETURN YOU FILED FOR ME YESTERDAY, 23 JAN 17, WITH THE 'DO NOT FILE' WATERMARKS OR ARE THEY REMOVED BY YOU WHEN THE RETRUN IS FILED?

Wait for your return to be accepted by the state. If it is accepted, you can log back in and should be able to print a clean copy without the watermark.
There are two reasons for the watermark. In some cases, a state has approved turbotax for electronic filing but has not yet approved it for paper filing. In other cases, your return will be marked "do not file" if you try to print before your return is actually accepted by the state. This is so that, if you have to make changes to fix any errors, you don't get a clean copy that doesn't match the final filed version. Once your return is accepted the watermark should be removed.
This answer is fine for folks who are going to efile. Turbotax told me that since my wife lived in a different county, my return had to be filed on paper. I cannot seem to print a paper copy without the watermark, though Turbotax says that's the only way I can file.
This can happen when the states are finalizing the tax forms. It is possible some of your forms may not be ready to be filed.
Why can't I print out my forms? - Intuit
WHAT KIND OF NONSENSE IS THAT ANSWER? I PAID 80 BUCKS TO FILE BOTH RETURNS. I HAVE TO FILE THE STATE RETURN BY SNAIL MAIL BECAUSE I OWE A COUPLE THOUSAND. WHY WAS I CHARGED 40 BUCKS TO FILE THE STATE RETURN WHEN I HAVE TO SNAIL MAIL IT. PLUS IT HAS: DO NOT FILE, BLAH BLAH BLAH, WHAT'S UP WITH THAT NONMENSE
If the forms are not ready, TurboTax puts the watermark as a warning to not send those paper copies.
When the warning goes away, then print it and mail it.
Does this have to be spelled out ??
If April 18th approaches, file a request for extension of time to file. This is unlikely.
