My husband passed away Jan. 2016, how do I file? Do I start a new account or use the one from last year?

I am sorry for the passing of your husband in 2016. 

Use the same account to file for 2016, if filing jointly. In the Personal Info section, edit your husbands information to indicate that he has passed and the date of passage.

Then continue to enter any forms received for him as you normally would. See links below for guidance.
