You can't skip the residency question. Enter that you are a resident of Alaska, since you've lived in Utah less than a year and haven't established a permanent residence there.
You will have to file a Utah nonresident return if you:
- are a nonresident or part-year resident with income from Utah sources who must file a federal return, or.
- want a refund of any income tax overpaid.
If you have to file a UT return you will be asked to allocate the amount of your federal income that was derived from UT sources.
