My federal return was accepted but my state return was rejected does that mean the Government accepted it or just Turbotax?

If your federal return was accepted that means the IRS has your federal return and will process that return; if your state return was rejected, the state does not have your state return.  You need to fix the state return and re-file it or print it and mail it to the state.    What is the rejection message that you got for the state return?
