My employer is located in a different state and doesn't like the employer ID in my W2 for local state taxes. How do I file then?

Employer put "." in box 15, which TurboTax doesn't allow. Yet, last year (2022) it was fine. Employer but the same "." but I was still able to file via TurboTax.

Which state did your employer send the withholding to? That's the two character abbreviation you need to put in box 15.

Is it possible that your employer meant the "." for the state you live in?
