My employer is located in a different state and doesn't like the employer ID in my W2 for local state taxes. How do I file then?

Employer put "." in box 15, which TurboTax doesn't allow. Yet, last year (2022) it was fine. Employer but the same "." but I was still able to file via TurboTax.
