My eFile with payment was rejected. Was the payment still taken?

I just eFiled my 2024 1040 with a an ePayment for the tax due. The return was rejected (error in a birthdate) and resubmitted. The question is; was the ePayment also rejected? Fortunately, I have time to check the bank, but I am just wanting to know so I can plan.

Your rejected return never made to the IRS, so a direct payment was not made.
