My download is in computer code! How do I get English?

I suggest you download the program again, using the instructrions in this article:   How do I download the software I purchased at TurboTax.com?

This was not MY post but makes me wonder why Turbo doesn't make the program more user friendly if you have so many people (myself included) that can't make the download work for them?

What download ?   The program ?   Or a PDF of the return ?

I've used Turbo to prepare my returns which have been sent/received/accepted.   Now I want to see/print a copy of my returns and it  comes out in some code and not in English.

I tried the "print return" when I finished and also the download and print PDF further down on the page.

Is it because it was the free filing?

Why is my PDF downloading as a .txt file in Microsoft Edge?

If you're using TurboTax Online, you may experience Microsoft Edge saving the PDF version of your tax file as a .txt file.

Solution

There are two ways to solve this issue:

1. Change your browser (to Google Chrome or Firefox, for example) and save from there.
2. Replace the .txt extension with .pdf.
