Multiple W2s and Legal Name Change

I worked a few months with an employer in 2023 prior to getting married and changing my last name. The W2 arrived in my maiden name, but my SSN has been updated to my married name and I have another W2 in my married name. Can I e-file without having to get a corrected W2 from my old employer? I’ve seen some posts stating that it would be fine as long as the SSN is correct and others saying it needs to be corrected. Thank you for any advice

The name on your tax return and the name on the W-2 do not have to match.  As long as the Social Security number on your tax return and the Social Security number on the W-2 are the same this is not an issue with the IRS.
