My name is Silviya Redinger. I moved last August , 2020 from WA state to AZ due to lost of my job as an Esthetician. My furniture was moved thought a moving company along with my car. I do not owe a business.
I did not add the moving expenses in my taxes. Do i have to claim those expenses.
Thank you!

Moving expenses are not deductible on a tax return except for military personnel on Permanent Change of Station orders.
Good news! You do not have to claim moving expenses on your tax return. IRS generally does not mind if you leave off expenses, credits, or deductions. However, some taxpayers are able to claim moving expenses. There was a big change in 2018, though, that restricted who is actually able to claim the moving expenses.
