We believe there is an error in Montana State TurboTax 2022. Other users have commented on the same issue, but can't get any useful help from TurboTax. We are using desktop 2022 TurboTax on a Mac and our Montana filing status is married filing separately as TurboTax suggests. On Montana Schedule 2 Line 3 the partial interest exemption for taxpayers over 65 should be $800 for EACH taxpayer who has interest that qualifies. The partial interest exemption for taxpayers over 65 was listed correctly for both me and my spouse on our 2021 TurboTax. It is listed only for me (in the second column) on our 2022 TurboTax return. We are both eligible for the partial interest exemption, just like last year. TurboTax is calculating zero dollars for the taxpayer in Column A on Montana Schedule 2 line 3. We contacted the Montana State Dept of Revenue and were told we should BOTH receive the partial interest exemption for taxpayers over 65 and that this is probably an ERROR in the TurboTax program. We have tried contacting TurboTax by phone and online, but no one has answered our question. We can't override the entry and so have no way to file our tax until someone fixes this error. Please help!
