Filed my state return via E-file (and paid TT to do so). I opted to have direct debit from my bank to pay the STATE taxes due. BUT, when I finished, I got a prompt that says something like: important! print attached & follow instructions. The attachment was the 1040V (payment voucher form) that says to MAIL A CHECK. I checked the PDF of my return, which says I have paid via Turbo Tax direct debit.
Searching the forums, it appears that I SHOULD be ok.
But the reality is that I don't really KNOW that I'm OK. A post from a year or two ago says to click a link to see if my state accepts direct debit... but the link is only about FEDERAL and has no reference to state payments.
And whats the deal with the community forums keeping questions from YEARS ago? No filter, and what happened to someone in their 2019 return may not apply to my 2024 return (or the other issue like the link provided a year or two is no longer the page / title cited by the post). The answer to my Q is not at all dependent on which version of TT I'm using, but that is the ONLY filter? WTH?
I'm so frustrated with Turbo Tax. This year is the MOST frustrating yet and I think it's time to put a fork in me, cuz I'm done with this.

You might check mo.gov website under their tax info and see if they received your return and have scheduled your payment. But as long as you have your return and it has the direct debit box checked and you've entered the correct routing and account numbers you are ok. You might also check with your bank on the scheduled date and see if the withdrawal is made.
