Merge 2018 return with 2019

I was working on my 2019 return which was merged (side by side) with my 2018 when my comp performed a restart. I had to start over, but I was not given a opportunity to work side by side with my 2018 return as a guide. How do I get the back together?

I don;t understand what you mean.

Turbotax online can only prepare 2019 returns at this time, it can't open or prepare a 2018 return.

If you have both TT 2019 and TT 2018 installed on your desktop computer, each tax return is a separate data file, ending in ".tax2018" or ".tax2019", and the 2019 program should not be able to change the 2018 document, or vice versa.

Can you explain more what you were doing and what effects you see?
