To whom this may concern,
I am a Catholic priest, and I have received income from Mass stipends. I did not receive any form from the diocese detailing my earnings, though I have kept track of them. How would I report this income on my tax return for this year?
Also, I have been using Turbo Tax 2019 (Home and Business), and it has been confusing trying to record tax deductions and expenses that I have had. For example, I thought I was just supposed to keep track of mileage for job-related trips. I tried to enter that, but Turbo Tax seems to think that I cannot do that, and then it proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions on repair bills and gas receipts.
God reward you for your help.

Are usually deal with protestant clergy, I’ll have to do some research to see if Catholic priests are different. One thing I don’t know, is, do you receive a salary? And this income is in addition to the salary or is this your only income? What exactly is a Mass stipend paid for? Also, would you be considered a member of a religious order who has taken a vow of poverty?
Thank you for your help. I was able to resolve the stipends question. We are supposed to log it under "miscellaneous income."
