Married filling Separate

I am recently separated, and my husband is not providing. all the tax information so i am afraid to sign the return. so, i want ed to know if i should file separately?  and if so do i only include my income?  Do I claim 50% of the middle class supplement that we got?  I also out of my pay check paid for one of my two kids day care

Married filling Separate

Yes you should file separate if you do not have his information and you DO NOT want to file a joint return that he does not sign (electronically).  You will include only your income, deductions, etc.  If the children lived with you, you can claim them as dependents but you usually cannot claim the child care credits if you file a separate return.  Please see Guide to Filing Taxes as Head of Household - TurboTax - Intuit- if you can use Head of Household, you will have more tax options.
