What product edition are you using--Free, PLUS, Deluxe, etc.?
Did you have any TurboTax fees, and if so, did you choose to pay them out of the Federal refund? If so, that pay-out-of-refund option requires efiling. In order to switch to file by mail, you'd need to remove that payment option and pay any fees upfront with a credit/debit card or a prepaid debit card you can buy in a store. If that's your situation, we can tell you how to remove it and pay upfront. The method to remove it varies depending on whether you are in California or another state.
"I have been trying to file for months"
Have you tried to get help previously? Why are you wanting to file by mail instead of efiling? Had you tried to efile, but it was rejected? You would need to describe what you are encountering that prevented you from filing. Or we can tell you how to phone TurboTax Support tomorrow if you are using a paid edition (PLUS or higher.)
