If you never worked in or lived in Utah at any time in 2023 then you do NOT file a Utah state income tax return.

You will have to speak with your employer about how they will handle state income taxes withheld.

Q. Do i now need to start paying state income taxes per check for utah?

A. No.

Q. Is the company still  able to take out state income taxes on my check ? Or can I be exempt since Nevada has no state income taxes.

A. You are exempt.  Make sure your company does not withhold UT tax.  If the do, you're stuck with filing a UT return to get it refunded and may get some resistance from UT
