I live in MO and work in KS. My employer only took out KS taxes. I understand I will file a non-resident status in KS.
When I complete my MO taxes it asks if I paid out of state taxes - what goes in the box for KS?
(I made 75,000 and paid 2147 in KS taxes and 0 taxes in MO)
Should I get all the taxes I paid to KS back?
Thanks!
DJ

Prepare the return for your nonresident state first (KS). This way the KS taxes will calculate and TurboTax will transfer the taxes into your MO return.
You probably won't get much, if any, of the KS taxes back since all your income came from KS sources. You may owe MO since you had no MO taxes withheld. See how the state returns come out -- you may with to change your withholding or make an estimated payments to MO in 2020.
I have already added the states for MO, then non-resident KS - can I delete it and start again?
In terms of using the Online product (I assume that you are using that), please read this TurboTax FAQ on deleting states before proceeding.
If you have the CD/download product, you can just delete the state and then re-add it, since you already have the download for the state.
