I am not a dependent of my mother's and am filing separately, but I was covered by her Marketplace insurance from January to April of 2024. I did not use this insurance at all and did not contribute to the premium at all. Looking at my 2023 Form 8962, it appears that I did not take the PTC at all: I selected "Yes" for "Are you allocating policy amounts with another taxpayer or do you want to use the alternative calculation for year of marriage?" on line 9, and in Part IV, Line 30, I allocated all 12 months of the year to my mother with 0% entered for the premium percentage,  SLCSP percentage, and advanced payment of the PTC percentage. This year, I have selected "No" for "Did you receive any advanced payments of the Premium Tax Credit (APTC) for the policy?", and after entering 0, 100 and 0 for the above three percentages, I'm being informed I now owe $3,319. Is this accurate, or am I entering the information in incorrectly?

That calculation is stating that you have to pay back advanced tax payments received based on your income. The SLCSP is a factor that determines the monthly amount of your Premium Tax Credit. Since you didn't pay any premiums or receive advanced premium payments, you should enter zeros in all three columns.   Check with your mother to make sure if you can enter zeroes in all three columns. she would have to enter 100% in all three columns on her tax return, which is ok since she paid the premiums and may have received the advanced payment.
