Lied to about price

When I got to the last part of my taxes it said it would cost $20 to e-file my state taxes. Then I get to it and its $40 if I deduct it from refund so I pay with my credit card. And instead of being $20 it is now $25! Why are you making it seem like you can add the e-file for state for $20 and then over charge anyways?!?!

Do you live in California by chance? California has a different price. It would be best to contact us by phone here, so we can look at your account.

There was a price increase on March 1.  The early prices expired and the state efile fee went from 20 to 25.  Happens every year.   When did you file?  It should have shown you the right price.  You might have needed to update your program.

I bought and installed program yesterday. It still said $20 when I used it.

I live in Louisiana. I bought it yesterday and downloaded it yesterday. When it started it said it was $20. When I put my credit card info in I found out it was actually $25!

$25 is the correct amount.  When you installed the program, it had not completely updated.

Upon installing the software, you will need to do an update. In addition, the prices are listed on our website.
