Leaving Intuit after the discontinuation of TurboTax

Since you have decided to Discontinue It's Deductible, I am Discontinuing my subscription to TurboTax after 30 years. I have 15-20 K of donations a year. I was tracking this information weekly/monthly for a smooth import to TurboTax at the end of the tax season. You have now abandoned your product and have left me no choice but to abandon you. Will I still be able to import my data for this upcoming Tax year, or should I save my money and start working with H&R Block software? Please advise.

Personally, I would try TaxAct over H&R Block.

I completely understand your disappointment with the discontinuation of ItsDeductible.  However, as far as I know, other products like TaxAct, H&R Block, TaxSlayer, etc. don't have that feature either, so the discontinuation of that shouldn't be an automatic decision to leave TurboTax.  You'll likely want to compare the core tax-product of each brand to determine which you want to use (as I mentioned before, personally, if I was using Do-It-Yourself software, I would try TaxAct before the other brands).

OK, then why don't you simply continue to use TurboTax and pay the ~$30 annual fee for Deductible Duck?

I have no clue as to your AGI and really don't want to know, BUT you should be aware that the IRS has computers that are set for certain parameters and one of them is total charitable donations, particularly non-cash donations, beyond which an audit becomes more likely.

The average total annual charitable contributions for the average U.S. taxpayer is 3-5% of AGI. You can do the math.
