Latest update stalls April 27, 2026

I've tried all the suggestions about how to get this started, and every time it fails.   I tried the super update download, evidently it has not been updated with the latest, or does not have the state package updates.

I tried the uninstall, download full program, reinstall and it comes back with 'update should take <1 minute', where it stalls.   I've been sitting for 5 minutes or more waiting for this and I started it with a 'run as admin'.

I need to get a revised tax return done, and I can't do any uploads without this update.

Is there any link to manually update outside of the 'super update' download?

Have you already done a manual update?   Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software.

Do you have the state program installed?   If you reinstalled  you need to install the state again.

After you get the program installed or reinstalled the first thing to do is to update the program and install any state programs you had.   So you need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to File-New Tax Return).
