Just bought turbox Tax

I have turbotax premiere 2023 on a laptop and am now installing the 2024 verson on windows 10.

However, installed 2024 and when I try to run the program, it pops up that I should restart my computer vs skipping it.  Then upon restart and rerunning turbotax 2024, it continuously wants to restart the computer.

I can't even get to the screen where I'd enter the license.  Because of this problem. I will not get far enough so that turbox tax can download and patch itself.

Thus, I spent $105 for a program that can't even run properly (not a happy camper).

Even if I uninstall it, and reinstall it, the problem still occurs.

Following the instructions to add inutit.com to the trusted site will not fix the problem. I shouldn't have to disable all windows antivir software to run this problem.....

So will there be a fix to this program so I can make use of program for the next tax season?

That may be a problem with the correct version of Visual C++ not being present on your computer.

This fixed my turbotax restart problem.  As a note, I have all the c++ redistributible versions on this laptop.

However, the version that was downloaded just now is a month newer than my version. Of course running the downloaded version wanted to repair the C++ redistrib and upon doing this fixed the problem.

First copy of five is installed and activated on first computer. However, the second laptop is stuck on the "activation" windows with the dots spinning forever.  How to fix this problem? I've uninstalled turbotax, rebooted, reinstalled turbotax and updated it. It then goes directly to the activation screen upon running and sits there forever spinning its blue dots.

Ok. as a guess, I used CCleaner to clean the various caches and registry keys that are broke.

Then restarted computer and selected turbotax.  It then displayed the license for turbotax stored by the online turbotax store. Then it displays a blue circle spinning vs. the spiralling blue dots. It then activated turbotax and now runs.

On the first go around above, it didn't display the license retrieved from turbotax to display it for selection before going to the activation screen causing the spiraling blue dots.

So now two copies of turbotax of the five allowed are installed.
