Yes, you should be able to import your Form 1099 from Charles Schwab; however, the brokerage will most likely not have the forms available until early February.

You can check out the TurboTax FAQ below for more information about how to import Form 1099https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3389470

its not working for me and also, export option also not available with charles schwab- seems that could be the reason to fail from TT.

    TO IMPORT from Schwab

Log in to your schwab account

    Go to Profile, security center,

change "3rd party access to account Informatoion" to

    "enable Third-party access"

    Import

change back to disable and save

How do I accomplish this with Turbotax Business? I'm asked about 1099 but see no reference to importing?

    Thanks!

You cannot import investment related tax documents such as 1099-B in TurboTax Business.  You will have to enter manually.

Yes as long as Schwab has them ready (login to Schwab to visibly see if they are downloadable as PDF)

unless you have more than 3000 records (TTax Premiere)  (TurboTax gives an error message for that case).

If you have a house account (additional user accounts), you can disable all other accounts and then import.

Easiest is to get up to the import screen, then call Schwab & request they temporarily disable other accounts.

You will have to reinput Schwab nicknames after this approach.

Its also possible to enter proceeds, costs, wash sales...and no dates: requires attachment and no eFile.

This DOES NOT WORK. For two years in a row when I enter my Schwab User ID TurboTax does not let me log in and says "The entered value does not meet the Login ID requirements." Time to find some functional tax software.

@WayneC1 You may need to check your brokerage to see if they are allowing third-party access. It is possible that your brokerage has restricted TurboTax's access to your statements, unless you grant consent and you might need to do something similar to what is described below.
