ITIN for dependent child

I haven't applied yet for the ITIN for my dependent children. Is it possible to apply for ITIN while submitting your taxes or some other way to claim a dependent children credit without an ITIN?

You have to apply for an ITIN for your child.

You cannot e-file. You have to file by mail or in person.
