would like to know the answer to this as well
The IRS has discontinued the e-filing PIN option. To verify your identity for e-filing, you’ll need to use last year’s adjusted gross income (AGI).
The e-filing PIN isn’t the same thing as the Self Select PIN or the IP PIN.

I want to know the same. IRS keeps rejecting because pin is wrong on Turbos end. It will not let me file without entering a PIN. I know my AGI, but the PIN is the problem. How can I bypass putting in a PIN???? Please help! I walked through it with Turbo support and they said delete state ID info and try again. It did not work. PLEASE HELP!!!
The 5-digit pin number used for electronic signature is any 5-digit number you choose.
I had the same issue. I tried using the auto fill 5 digit number that was in the pin box and it was rejected. I tried leaving it blank and the it prompted me to enter a 5 digit number of my choice and it was still rejected. I have the AGI from the 2019 tax return and it is correct. I did not file electronically last year but did file on time and did not have any changes to the tax return. This is very frustrating. I don't understand why there is even a box for the pin if it is not necessary and seems to be causing so many problems. Please help!!! Thank you
@pammformac Please take a look at the following thread for some insight into this concern: 5 digit pin.
