I found the right business expenses page and removed my vehicle. That fixed the problem.
MACRS is an abbreviation for Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System and is the most common tax depreciation method for vehicles. If you are seeing a SmartCheck error regarding depreciation for a vehicle, this usually requires you to enter the total amount of depreciation you have taken on the vehicle in the past.
However, it would be helpful to know exactly the error you are receiving and what you see on your screen that needs to be completed. A screenshot would be best.
Thank you for your reply. I don't know the depreciation of my vehicle, I've never had to enter this info in the past. I'm given a drop-down menu with the options quarter-year, mid-year, and n/a. I've tried entering all of them and TurboTax won't accept any. I can't proceed to file my return until this is fixed so at this point I'd prefer to remove it entirely if possible.
I think I must have qualified my vehicle inaccurately for it to be asking me for this info, but I can't find the section of my return where I can change my vehicle info. Can you tell me what to search for so that I get the proper "jump to" link for this issue? Thank you.
Maybe I have it improperly listed as a business expense? I'm just not sure where the section is within my return to change this. I'm self-employed, if that helps.

Yes, you can delete a vehicle from your business expenses page. Go to your Schedule C business (see below) and click Edit. At the top of the Expenses list, find "Vehicle" then click the trash can icon to delete the vehicle. When you re-enter the vehicle (add expenses for this work), consider taking the standard mileage deduction that requires only the number of miles you drove for your business.
The easiest way to find Schedule C in TurboTax Online is to open your return and click the magnifying glass at the top right side of the TurboTax header. Enter "schedule c", hit Enter, then click on "jump to schedule c".
