It is saying payer’s EID number is invalid when it is correct

Did you import your form?   It may not have transferred correctly.  

You may need to delete it and import it again or even enter it manually (type it in yourself) if that doesn't correct the issue.

Add/Edit/Delete Form 1099X or W-2 (with "X" being 1099-R, 1099-B, 1099-INT, etc.):

1. Open your return (if not already open).
2. Enter "1099" or "W2" in the Search box.
3. Click on "jump to 1099" (or W-2) link.  
4. Import or Enter you information manually.

you don't need it since it is not reported to the IRS. only the payer's name and amounts. also delete the address for the payer if present.

there isn’t a way to not put in an EID. It’s required to move on
