Issues with downloading TurboTax

There is an ongoing discussion regarding downloading TT. I would only like to say that if one looks at Amazon and goes to the TT Deluxe page and then look at the one-star reviews, you will see many who have had issues with the download. That is a problem, but many also state that they cannot get refunds when the download fails. That doesn't seem right. As a side note, I was not happy when I was forced to get a windows 10 machine because TT dropped support for earlier versions of windows. That is literally the only thing that machine is used for. (I use Linux on a Raspberry Pi for everything else). If I am forced to upgrade beyond windows 10, I will not be using TT anymore. (Hint. write your software in Java, which is supported by most machines unchanged). Also, last years process to get TT registered, ending up with me having to use a different email as TT support couldn't help me with my old email. That was a big PIA as it took three days to get it straightened out. I have been a TT customer for twenty years or so.

I don't work for TurboTax but am a long-time user.   When those users who can't download/install the software say they can't get a refund, I suspect they mean that Amazon's policy will not refund digital purchases.  However, TurboTax/Intuit claims to stand behind it with an "Unconditional Satisfaction Guarantee" within the first 60 days after purchase, as long as it's purchased through TurboTax or one of its authorized retailers, one of which is indeed Amazon (actual Amazon--not unauthorized sellers on Amazon).   TurboTax even has an online refund request form if someone needs it (see second link below.)
