Is this a fraud attempt by Turbotax Specialist or am I too paranoid?

I was about to start live session with a Turbotax specialist from the phone and she asked me to share screen. I got the share screen request, accepted, but then found the form I was looking for. So I told her I'm good.

 

But then, I had another question so I asked her can you see my screen (the popup window said that she can see my screen). She said she cancelled the screenshare and we need to do it again. I asked her so you want me to give you my information again?

 

[Red flag #1] She said no, just go to turbotax share [dot] intuit [dot] com

[Red flag #2] That website auto-redirects to another domain and downloads a software.zip

[Red flag #3] She hung up

 

I wasn't sure where to report this, and this is my first time to post to this community so bear with me if I posted in the wrong discussion topic.

I want to add:

 

I had external documents that the representative wanted to look at, so I went to turbotaxshareintuit.com, which redirected me to a web browser and I installed and extension/download called GPTBrowser_1.7.78.0. Afterwards nothing happened and the representative continued to attempt to answer my tax question.

 

I followed up with turbotax support members and they verified this is standard, but it would make me more comfortable if a turbotax representative confirmed that on this post as well.

TurboTax representatives use two versions of the screenshare.  The first lets them see only TurboTax.  If they need to see other documents, they have the customer do the screenshare that you used.  They let you know that they can see all of your screen once that program is running.  Nothing unusual happened to you, but you did need to turn off the program when she hung up.
