Is there a way to remove the state return? I want to E-file my federal. That state is coming up with an error saying it would be rejected. So I should mail my return.

Have you tried efiling your federal return now and selecting to efile your state return later? That is how I handled efiling my federal return and printing and mailing my state return but my state return didn't have any errors in it.
