You no longer have to fill out the 1095-B information for the federal tax return- if your state has a requirement you will enter it in the state section.
You can go directly to the TurboTax 1095a section by searching on 1095a. The first entry provided is "Jump to 1095a" which will take you directly there. Then you can change your answer from "Yes" to "No, I didn't receive Form 1095-A."
I accidentally clicked I had a 1095_A when I didn't. The return was rejected when I tried to e-file. So, I changed my response to "NO." The return was again rejected because it says the "e-file database" indicates that I need the 1095-A based on the earlier e-file error. I need to know how to get around this so I can e-file and not get that same message yet again!
Even though you clicked the 1095-A in error, the IRS database may still have information that a 1095-A is required.
The reject error F8962-070 is an indication that someone shown on your tax return (taxpayer, spouse, or a dependent) is in the IRS database as having been covered by Marketplace insurance at some point during 2021, and Form 1095-A is required to be entered for that Marketplace insurance.
If you do not have or did not think you needed Form 1095-A, please contact your state's Marketplace insurance to confirm whether anyone in your household was covered. Once you can confirm this, please come back and share that information here.
The following TurboTax help article will give you further steps you can take to try to resolve the issue. It also contains links to use to contact the Marketplace to confirm coverage for members of your household.
How do I fix e-file reject F8962-070?
