Is there a way to recover W2 information after accidentally clearing progress and starting over?

I accidentally cleared my current progress for filing and can not find my W-2. I am trying to find a way to recover the information that I had already filled in or simply revert to the previous session prior to clearing.

No, if you somehow cleared your W-2 information out of your return you will have to enter it in again.  You can use the same method as you did the first time (Type it in, Import it on your computer or take a photo).

First be sure that it has been completely cleared out.

To check a W-2 you will:

  1. Income & Expenses (Wages & Income)
  2. Select Job (W-2) [Edit]
  3. If there is anything in the file it will appear here.

To re-enter your W-2

  1. Income & Expenses
  2. Select Job (W-2)
  3. Enter the Employer ID number (It is just below the company name)
  4. There are two boxes
    1. Upload it from my computer Note: Not all companies are available to Download
    2. Type it myself
  5. Select one and continue through the interview.
