Is there a way to cancel your payment for state?

If your payment was set up in a tax return that was e-filed and accepted, you will not be able to cancel it unless it had a payment date in the future. if that is the case you can contact your state's department of revenue and request they cancel the payment . If you had a payment date of today - no, you can't cancel it.
