This is possible but unlikely. Do NOT have charges pending in your account that depend on these funds until they are deposited, the government works at it's own pace and can deny the claim, even after it is accepted (although that is also unlikely).
The government never processes refunds on Saturdays or Sundays, or federal holidays. However your bank might receive the funds on Friday and make them available on Saturday.
Your bank could process it Friday then you would see it Saturday.
You are a liar the irs does deposit on weekends BIden says so.

I have my deposit set for monday april 5th i have a turbo card and i no the irs usually releases the funds 24 to 48hrs prior to the date for banks to process it. Is it possible i can get my refund the friday or weekend before the 5th
@Fresxedits You will need to reach out to your bank to see if they can release your funds sooner.
That would be a turbo card its being deposited on..
You will need to contact Turbo Visa Debit Card to see when they will release the deposit. You can reach Turbo Card by calling Customer Care.
Hello just want to answer some questions because I am a little confused my tax preparer text me on January 5 2022 to ask me for my account and routing number what do that mean she filed my taxes already or going to.
evidently, you have an overpayment that is to be refunded. you can wait for the iRS to send you a check which takes longer than a direct deposit. a direct deposit is sent electronically to your checking or savings account. if you don't have either then respond as such to the preparer or if you want to get a check.
the routing number is a 9 digit number that would appear on the lower left of a check. the account number appears on the lower right and does not include the check number. for a savings account, you may need to contact the bank for the proper routing number since that usually doesn't show up on any statement. the account number should be on a statement
your preparer almost certainly has not yet filed waiting for you to respond.
Does anyone know exactly how far in advance the irs releases refunds? Some places advertise getting your redund 5 days early. How can they do that?
