Yes, it is the same software just with a different user interface.

Is home and business edition the same as self employed edition ?

Yes.  Self Employed version is the Online web version and Home & Business is the Desktop CD/Download program.

 

Do you want to know differences between Online and Desktop?  Online is only good for one return per account.  The Desktop program can do unlimited returns.
