Is FFCRA paid sick leave?

Yes, FFCRA stands for Families First Coronavirus Response Act.

  • Per U.S. Dept of Labor: The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19.[1] The Department of Labor’s (Department) Wage and Hour Division (WHD) administers and enforces the new law’s paid leave requirements. These provisions will apply from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

Is FFCRA paid sick leave?

How do I report it for my 2021 taxes? I checked the paid sick leave box and it's showing all of the income was from psl.

Is FFCRA paid sick leave?

You entered the information correctly.  The FFCRA is a form of paid sick leave and is taxable.  Normal income tax withholding rules apply, and amount paid are subject to withholding and payment of social security and Medicare tax.

You should have also received a 1099-G.  If necessary, follow-up with additional information about the amounts reflected on your 1099-G.
