Yes, if you took paid leave to take care of someone in your family, then it would be considered Paid Family Leave.
Allow me to explain you in detail.
My employer started Caregiving Leave (5 days per year reserved as Caregiving leave) in order for me to take care of situations with any closed family members related to medical or any issues.
These 5 days reserved can only be used related to caregiving for family members only.
It cannot be carryover to next year or it cannot be reimbursed if any day is not used during the calendar year.
And I took all 5 days in 2023.
So do I check 'Paid Family Leave' checkbox in uncommon situations for W2?
