Irs sent me paper in mail saying I need to verify my ID so I went online and did that. But now only says just accepted again does it start my whole wait time over again?

After you have successfully created your ID.me account, the website should redirect you back to the IRS website, asking you a few questions, such as your SSN and refund amount.  After you have answered the questions, the IRS website should tell you your refund would take 2 - 4 weeks.

TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your tax return, so no one at TT knows about your identity verification.   Sometimes it takes nine weeks or more to get your refund after identity verification---only the IRS is in control.  You can watch for information on the IRS refund site.

 

 

Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

 

 

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
