Will the IRS offices/employees be available any time soon? I really need to get a IP Pin so I can file my tax return.  Although I receive SSA/SSDI I feel filing a return will hasten my stimulus payment.

If you are receiving SSA/SSDI payments on a regular basis, you should receive your stimulus payment in the same way you receive those payments. Filing a tax return would not speed things up because the IRS is not processing any mailed returns at the present time and have a big backlog of efiled returns.

We are unable to provide the status of your payment right now because:

• We don't have enough information yet (we're working on this), or
• You're not eligible for a payment.

Checked eligibility pretty sure I qualify... annual earnings don't amount to even over 13,000. 

My bf is on SSA/SSDI as well and he already received his stimulus, I filed a simple return for him bc he we have a son so he could claim him and my son would receive his "economic stimulus" payment as well.
